GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RENTAL. GoDrive Rent, hereinafter referred to as “lessor”, hereby rents to the customer who signs on the back, under the specific terms and conditions by virtue of which he is informed and agrees:

Article 1 – CREDIT CARDS: The customer must carry credit cards recognized by GoDrive Rent.

Article 2 – MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD: 2 days (48 hours), with any fraction of the day being considered as such.

Article 3 – RENTAL CONDITIONS: Rental prices, excess, and security deposit are determined by the lessor based on the current rental price list and are payable in advance. Should the customer wish to continue using the vehicle beyond the contracted period, they must notify the lessor and send the additional amount 24 hours in advance, provided the lessor has the vehicle available. Under penalty of exposing themselves to vehicle theft or breach of trust. The fact that the lessor does not have a vehicle available does not constitute grounds for terminating the contract already established for the initial period.

Article 4 – Fuel Policy: The Customer must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when it was received. Failure to do so will result in a €20 charge for each remaining ½ of the tank, plus a fixed €30 refueling fee.

Article 5 – The vehicle shall not be used for:

  1. Transporting goods in violation of customs regulations or otherwise illegally.
  2. Transporting passengers or goods in exchange for any implicit or explicit remuneration.
  3. Pushing or pulling any vehicle or trailer.
  4. By anyone under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. Article

Article 6 – Return: The customer will return the vehicle with all tires, tools, documents, accessories, and equipment, acknowledging that they received it in perfect working order and will be responsible for the cost of all fuel consumed during the rental.

Article 7 – Payments: The customer acknowledges their responsibility to pay the lessor, upon request:

  1. The rental price of the vehicle covered by the rental agreement.
  2. The amounts related to the security deposit or deductible due for the rental, according to the rate in effect at the time of rental and set forth in the specific terms of the Rental Agreement. This amount is used, in particular, to activate the deductible, pay penalty clauses, interest on arrears, compensation, fines, penalties, and other expenses.
  3. All fines, legal expenses, and penalties for traffic violations during the rental period.

Article 8 – Renter’s Interests: The Renter agrees to protect the interests of the lessor and the lessor’s insurance company in the event of an accident by:

  1. Obtaining the names and addresses of the individuals and witnesses involved.
  2. Not abandoning the vehicle without taking the necessary precautions to protect and safeguard it.
  3. Calling the lessor via the 24-hour customer servisse number (+ 351 965017103) and providing a detailed report
  4. Immediately notifying the Police if the other party is found to be at fault or if there are any injuries.

Article 9 – Assistance: The Lessor provides its customers with a 24-hour assistance contact number (+ 351 965017103), as mentioned in article 8 c). This contact number should be used to report breakdowns, accidents, flat tires, fuel changes, thefts, robberies, and other damages to the vehicle. Althoough the available contact number belongs to the lessor, assistance will be provided by the insurance company holding the insurence policy for the rented vehicle.

Article 10 – Insurence: The Customer is insured under an insurence policy, a copy of which may be inspected at the rental company is office or requested by email. All vehicles and rentals are covered by unlimited liability insurence, except in the situations described in article 5. The daily rental price already includes the insurance. Car rentals are not permited without this insurence.

Article 11 – Extras: The rental Provider offers its customers the possibilty of renting baby and child seats, for a daily fee of 10€ per day for both types. The Rental Provider also offers the option of adding additional drivers, up to a maximum of four in addition to the man driver, at a cost of 10€ per day per additional driver.

Article 12 – The customer releases the lessor from all liability for los sor damage to all objects left, stored or transported in the vehicle.

Article 13 – The client agrees that this document is made in acoordance with the laws of the county in which i tis signed and that both parties agree to submit to the jurisdition of the court of Angra do Heroísmo.

Article 14 – Cancellation Policy:
The client has the right to cancel their reservation up to 30 days after its confirmation, but only if the scheduled vehicle pick-up date is more than 30 days after the date of the reservation confirmation.
Within this 30-day period, the total amount paid by the client may be fully refunded.
If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days after the reservation confirmation, the client is not entitled to any refund of the amount already paid, nor to reschedule for other dates, nor to receive a voucher for future use on different dates from the original reservation.

Article 15 – Payment Methods: The payment methods accepted by the Rental Company for the payment of the rental, fees, and extras, as well as for any other payments related to the vehicle rental, are as follows:

  1. Cash payment.
  2. Bank transfer.
  3. Mbway payment.
  4. Payment via STRIPE payment link.
  5. VISA

Article16 -Child and Baby Seats:
If the client rents a child restraint device, the equipment provided by the Rental Company will be the one the client selected as an extra in the rental agreement.
It is not the responsibility of the Rental Company to assess whether the equipment is appropriate for the child’s physical build.
The installation of the equipment in the vehicle is the FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MAIN DRIVER.
